TV Tracker has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. It stores your tracked shows locally in your browser and talks to one external service — the TVmaze API — to fetch show and episode data.
What TV Tracker stores
Your tracked show list, and your settings, are saved using your browser's extension storage. This data stays on your device — TV Tracker has no server of its own and cannot read it.
What TV Tracker talks to
TV Tracker sends requests to
api.tvmaze.com to search for shows and to
fetch air-date information for shows you've added. No
other network requests are made.
Permissions

storage— to save your tracked shows and settings locally. -
alarms— to schedule the background refresh that keeps show data up to date every four hours. -
host_permissionsforapi.tvmaze.com— the only server TV Tracker is allowed to contact.
Import and export
Exporting your list saves a JSON file to your device using your browser's normal download flow. Importing reads a JSON file you choose from your device. Neither action sends that file anywhere.
What TV Tracker does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
- No advertising.
- No cookies.
- No sharing of data with third parties.
